This AVHRR false-color image shows almost all of the Korean peninsula. Vegetation shows up in shades of pink and red, clouds in white, the seas in blues and blacks, and cities in gray-blue. Seoul can be seen just to the lower right of the white marker cross in the center. Mountains cover most of the land. Wide plains and river valleys are found only along the western side of the peninsula.
