DOWNLOAD IMAGES TO PLAY WITH

There are images that have already been processsed and there are images that are raw data. Both are wonderful resources for the classroom teacher. Below is directions for downloading both types of images

Processed GIFS

1. Hold mouse button down on the image.
2. Save this image as.
3. Navigate to the folder on your hard drive.
4. Wait and wait and wait -- depending upon the speed of your internet connection.

Raw Thematic Mapper Data -- All Seven Bands

This data is compressed and must be uncompressed using stuffit after you have downloaded it. It has to be imported into NIH Image. IT IS A WONDERFUL RESOURCE

Download Free Thematic Mapper Images

1. Read the number of rows and columns and the resolution of these images.
2. Download the individual band files.
3. hqx -- needs to be extracted with stuffit.
