Sitting in the Front
In a traditional, face-to-face classroom, the most interested students sit front row center in the classroom, where the action is revolving around the teacher. These students don't want to miss anything.

Unlike the traditional classroom, this virtual cooperative learning environment has two main areas that hold the action: your portfolio and the "Teacher As" spaces. Your portfolio contains your reflections on what you are learning, your links that supply evidence of your individual and team contributions, and any private correspondences you have had with the facilitator. The "Teacher As" spaces are where you and your teammates collaborate to build knowledge together. Over time, the "Teacher As" spaces capture the collective insight of your team.

By regularly contributing to your portfolio and visiting the "Teacher As" spaces, and of course, contributing new ideas and comments on others' ideas, you can stay on top of the action in the Classroom just as if you were sitting front row center.
