Helping Others
How do you like to learn? How do you like to be helped? Do you get defensive when unsolicited advice comes your way? Everyone has a helping style and a "helpee" style. People tend to help others the way they like to be helped, but others may have a different style from yours.

To help others help you, ask in Course Space or the appropriate "Teacher As" Space for the kind of help you need. For example, "I'm not satisfied with my kickoff to the land sphere lesson. I'm planning to...but I think it's weak. Can anyone help me with other opening ideas to get the students to look at their world differently?"

To be helpful, ask permission to share ideas with others, "I can share how I do cooperative groups, if that would be helpful..."
